Handballers suffer serious em loss

Handballers suffer serious em loss

The european championship hosts are horrified, the prestigious supercup is in danger, and the bundesliga schedule has to be modified: the historic european championship elimination of the german handball players proves to have serious consequences just one day after the final failure.

Only for national coach martin heuberger there was also good news: the board of the german handball federation (DHB) expressed its confidence in the national coach despite the missed european championship in denmark. And also the bundesliga keeps him the promised time for mabnahmen of the national team free.

And the man from schutterwald will be in desperate need of one. For the as a test of strength at a high level of 1. Until 3. November planned supercup threatened with cancellation. The roof is completely dilapidated

In the hallway in front of the staircase behind the entrance there is a sign. "Rough work thrives only through unity", is written on it and it reflects a little of the pride with which the "house of the farmer’s wife" was built at the end of 1957 in birkach blessed and opened. To use common farm facilities, to facilitate the work of the farmers, to offer development possibilities for the local associations, storage rooms for the raiffeisen fund and for sales – everything was listed for which the then birkach municipal council had designated the building.

Over the years, the use of the building has changed somewhat, and it once housed an inn. With the territorial reform, when the former municipality of birkach was dissolved and became part of ebensfeld, the responsibility for the building was also transferred to the municipality of ebensfeld. Today, it serves as a fire station and, of course, as a meeting place for the clubs in the village. But it became clear long ago that it would have to be renovated in order to be preserved. There is also a principle behind it: there should be a community meeting place in every part of ebensfeld.

But it won’t be cheap: plans for renovation were submitted at the end of 2016. A new heating system was needed, and a stair lift was to be installed to provide barrier-free access to the hall on the second floor. New tiles were to be installed on the roof, and a dam was to be built underneath. The facade is also to be repaired and repainted.

Eggs from the storybook yard

Eggs from the storybook yard

Colorful flowers shine over the fence, a black cat sunbathes on the steps to the terrace, four pied pigs dig in the straw of their free run in the yard. The biohof dobeneck in weppersdorf is a farm straight out of a picture book. Egid dobeneck stocks his self-marketing cart with fresh eggs at the farm entrance. "The eggs from this morning were gone right away, so we have to get more", he explains. The business of organic food from the farm is going well.

Organic for over 30 years

The 66-year-old has not run his farm conventionally since 1986. At that time, he repeatedly attended lectures on organic farming. "And since I always wanted to do something new, I took this step." At a time when the organic trend of the 1970s had already subsided and the new wave since the 2010s was still a long way off, dobeneck wanted his farm to be certified by bioland. "I have never regretted this. As such a small part-time farm, we might not have survived otherwise."

With daughter michaela, the young generation took over three years ago. "Organic is all the rage. Many young people today are concerned about the environment and pay attention to their diet." But that’s not the only reason she supports her parents’ concept. It is also a matter of the heart: the animals are fed organically and have enough space, the soil and fruit are treated with care, without sprays and pollutants. All the requirements of the organic association are of course regularly monitored. "I do as little harm to nature and animals as possible. So I can enjoy the products that come out of it with a good conscience", says the 28-year-old.

Calls for monitoring the afd grow louder

Calls for monitoring the afd grow louder

The publication of an internal report with recommendations for action for the afd has further fueled the debate on whether the party should be monitored by the constitutional protection agency.

The recommendation of an expert to refrain from using terms such as "uberfremdung" and "umvolkung" in order to avoid secret service observation does not change the fact that the party must be observed, CDU politician patrick sensburg told the "handelsblatt" newspaper. "The fact that the afd wants to swap terms shows that it now wants to swap over its true contents just to avoid observation."

On friday, it became known that the legal expert dietrich murswiek, who was appointed by the afd, urgently warned the party against the use of certain terms, as these could provide evidence for observation by the constitutional protection agency. In a summary of the report, which is available to the deutsche presse-agentur and ARD, party members are also advised to avoid blanket statements such as "refugees are criminals" or "old parties are corrupt," which denigrate certain groups.

Christine wiesneth is worried about her three grandchildren. For their parents have lived their lives entirely according to the rules of the so-called guru of ailsbach. "I hope that the expert opinion is a step forward", says the grandmother, who is not a party to the proceedings. "About the content I can only guess."

Expert opinion went to the parties involved
"On 6. In may, the expert opinion was received by the court and has now been served on the parties to the proceedings", informed in addition justice press speaker michael hammer. He expects the court to schedule a hearing in june to continue the ongoing custody proceedings.

Faster internet for municipal utilities to come

Faster internet for municipal utilities to come

With fernwasserversorgung oberfranken (O), thuga meteringservice from naila and stadtnetz bamberg as a subsidiary of bamberger stadtwerke, three partners have come together with a common goal: the creation of a fiber optic connection – also for fast internet – from eastern to western upper franconia, roughly formulated from hof via marktrodach and kronach to trainau in the district of lichtenfels all the way to coburg. As representatives of the three companies explained on friday, further steps could follow. In concrete terms, the company is already considering opening up the cities of kulmbach and bayreuth next year.

A little over a year ago, the three partners formed this cooperation to ultimately share the costs of an expansion. The three partners are investing a total of 1.7 million euros to increase broadband capacity in the region. Heinz kohler, the association's chairman, explained that O is making its existing empty pipe system available so that the fiber optic cable can replace the copper cable. O's sites will be better connected in the future, explained managing director markus rauh. This is necessary in order to take account of the high level of data exchange that is now taking place: "this will keep us on the safe side for the next few decades."

Marienweiher belongs to the top teams?

marienweiher belongs to the top teams?

By our employee
christopher wohlfart

Kulmbach – the SV marienweiher invites to the top match of the fubball-A-class 6 kulmbach on sunday (3 p.M.).FC ludwigschorgast, who had to leave the top spot to ATS kulmbach for the time being after two draws in a row, is the guest of the sixth-placed team (17 payers).
However, the team of player-coach christopher schubert has got a euphoria steamboat after four victories in a row. SV fortuna untersteinach suffered an unfortunate 2:4 defeat. "We really wanted to win in untersteinach to give us a good starting position for the game against ludwigschorgast", says christopher schubert, who nevertheless feels no pressure ahead of sunday's duel. "We can act liberated and don't need to hide. The whole club is looking forward to the home game because it's also a little derby and a week later we have our kirchweih", stresses schubert, who can draw on almost his full complement of players except for defender sebastian birner.
For schubert, who is slightly banged up, nothing has changed in the season's goal. SV would be satisfied with 3rd to 5th place in the table, promotion is not a must.

Getting back on track

FC ludwigschorgast is still undefeated, but recently had to settle for two draws. Florian gogolok, the player-coach and goal-saving goalkeeper of his team, therefore demands an away victory in the monastery town: "it is an important game that we want to win at all costs in order to get back on the winning track. The last two draws have hurt us doubly in view of the long-distance duel with ATS kulmbach. We definitely want to get back on track", demands gogolok, who will play without a splint for the first time after his thumb injury.
With the exception of kevin strohlein, the FC has all its men on board. In addition, according to florian gogolok, it was finally time to win against a top team like SV marienweiher." Whether gogolok's assessment of the opponent is correct will be seen on sunday.
